Withcott State School tuckshop kitchen is a well-equipped area utilized for providing fresh, economical, quality tuckshop prepared food items to our school community.
Our tuckshop encourages & supports healthy eating, awarded with a 5-star menu rating by the Qld Association of School Tuckshops in 2021, offering menu choices & portions that are 100% compliant with Qld Government “Smart Choices Guidelines”. As recommended our tuckshop limits treat days to two per term for our staff & students however on these days we also aim to ensure items supplied are not only a little bit of fun, but also retain some elements of our smart choices guidelines. Many gluten free options are also available on our regular menu & options are also provided on treat days.
Tuckshop operates weekly each Wednesday with two options available for ordering meals, these include:
- Register & order online via www.quickcliq.com.au to pay electronically, or
- Clearly handwrite meal order providing name, class, & break type, & deliver into tuckshop drop box together with cash payment.
Weekly tuckshop orders are required by Tuesday 9.00 a.m to adequately cater for requested meals. Assistance with tuckshop service is always greatly appreciated as many hands make light work, if you find you may be available on these days please drop in & have a chat as a couple of hours help can a make such a huge difference in our busy kitchen.
Tuckshop offers free-sell of ice-blocks, and other various items each Wednesday at the end of our school day, most items are limited to $1.00.
Tuckshop communication with our school community is shared fortnightly in our school newsletter, facebook site & tuckshop notice board. Important information is also updated regularly on quickcliq & can be viewed under the news tab once logged in.
